7 Arlington is a perfect location for birthday, holiday, wrap, corporate, engagement and anniversary parties as well as casual weddings and baby showers. We limit events to 150 guests.
Events are held on the lower three floors and garden of the brownstone. The available event indoor space is approximately 2,500 square feet, and the outdoor garden is approximately 600 square feet.
Parlor Floor: with 14 foot ceilings and dripping with original detail, this floor adds old-time glamour to your event. An upright piano is available for live music. Original sliding oak doors lead you to the grand dining room, which can be used as a host table or converted to a buffet area. The parlor room can also be converted to a dance floor upon request.
Garden Floor: For when your friends and family want to chill during the festivities, this floor contains the den with cable tv and the guest area of the kitchen, which opens into the garden. The garden has small café tables and chairs that surround a majestic, old pear tree. We converted the house’s mudroom to a service bar with a griddle so that your caterers can have wait staff on hand to pass you goodies through the backyard service window. The garden also has a grill available for professional catering use at an additional charge.
Cellar: The greatest man cave ever built with a speakeasy vibe. This floor contains a 14 foot long beer hall-style table that runs along the cellar’s original brick support arches, as well as some smaller intimate seating. We retained theoriginal rubble wall, joists, and amazing vintage farm wood planks as a shout-out to this floor’s rustic charm. The cellar has a 20 foot wide bar that wraps around the bay of the front of the cellar with cable tv. The back of the cellar has a staircase that leads outside to the garden. The long table can be set aside for a smaller dance floor. Two side-by-side restrooms for event-use only are near the garden stairs.
Rates for space rental start at $4000. An additional $250 cleaning fee will be applied to all events. For any events scheduled to end after 8p.m., we require that all 3 guest rooms are additionally rented for the evening.
Unless otherwise agreed to, weekday events end by 10:00 p.m., and weekend events end by 11:00 p.m. The backyard closes at 10pm daily.
Speaker use is welcome on the parlor and cellar floors. However, we do not allow speakers in the backyard garden out of respect for our neighbors.
Please note your selected caterers must be from our preferred list and have the proper insurance and liquor license to serve alcohol.
